Getting ready in matching robes while indulging in a mimosa bar? Always. The room may have been small, but the love between these women and the excitement for the day filled it with so much purpose.
Getting ready is one of the sweetest times of a wedding day. It's a time for peace, laughter, and time to soak in every moment. While everyone gets beautified, we get to work on details.
Those tasseled shoes, textured florals, and chiffon dresses were a dream.
Rina got dressed in the gown she picked out so many months before. Dress shopping was one of my favorite memories with Rina. She didn't have her close people to go dress shopping with her, so I offered to accompany her. I enjoyed watching her, smiling with her and giving my thoughts when she asked for them. Honestly, she looked stunning in everything, but the one she picked suited her so well. Seeing her get ready in this same dress was extra special for me simply because I was there with her when she purchased it.
We went into Zion National Park for the first look.
The ceremony space and decor were all set up and ready when we got back. The florist was hired to do the arch while the rest of the decor was brought by the bride.
The tablescapes were installed and ready for guests to enjoy an intimate dinner. Rattan placemats, layered with china and a blush pink napkin topping each place setting was a simplistic yet elegant way to present the meal to come. Each place setting was adorned with an acrylic place card and wax stamped for a more luxurious feel.
At the tail end of dinner, we got a brief rush of rain and as guests ran to seek shelter, Rina and Derek made a move and embraced what came with some dancing.
Once the rain passed, we started the reception, but before opening the dance floor, Rina wanted to do TWO big things. 1- the shoe game, and 2- a photo bomb moment. The concept of the photo bomb is the photographer shoots the couple and guests take turns photo bombing them. Noboby was making a move, so I jumped in and showed them how it's done.

The guests took over from there and Rina got all her photo bomb shots!
Just before 10 pm, we prepped for send-off with some LED balloons and by 10 pm we had the music off and were saying out goodbyes!
